The Network Welcomes the Spring Season with Caregiver Wellness Event

As spring brought warmer days and a sense of renewal, the Community Impact Network (Network) hosted its first quarterly wellness event of the year, Wellness in Bloom, on March 20, 2026, creating intentional space to support the well-being of caregivers who serve individuals and families across the 24:1 community.

Caregivers from Network member organizations came together for an afternoon focused on restoration, reflection and connection. Through guided meditation, a reflection corner and hands-on bouquet-making, participants were encouraged to pause and recharge, recognizing that caring for themselves is essential to sustaining the care they provide to others.

The meditation session was led by Dr. Dianna Parra Perez, an Assistant Professor at the Brown School and the Prevention Research Center at Washington University in St. Louis. With a background in physical therapy and public health, her work focuses on improving health and well-being in underrepresented communities, an approach that closely aligns with the Network’s commitment to strengthening outcomes across the 24:1.

The event also marked a step forward in deepening support for caregivers, announcing that the Caregiver Support Workgroup will begin meeting quarterly to bring together professionals who provide care and support services to identify resource gaps and strengthen local place-based systems that benefit both families and the residents they serve.   The group will focus on identifying resource gaps, strengthening collaboration, and developing strategies that better support both current and future caregivers.

“The purpose of this workgroup is to create space for meaningful dialogue so that the Network can listen and turn those insights into tangible strategies that support caregivers in the workforce,” said service coordinator Marin Warner.

The afternoon concluded with shared conversation, creativity and refreshments provided by HG Latte Lounge, and a meal provided by Network Partner Verita’s Soul’full Creations, reinforcing the Network’s ongoing commitment to ensuring caregivers feel supported, valued and equipped to continue serving the 24:1 community.
