Wellness in the Field 2025 Brings an Evening of Mindfulness & Moves for Service Providers in the 24:1

Community Impact Network (Network) along with its event partner, Innovative Technology Education Fund (ITEF), hosted its third annual Wellness in the Field event on Friday, September 19, where direct service providers enjoyed an evening of rest and relaxation through mindfulness and wellbeing activities.
During the event, attendees participated in an array of activities including sound baths, massages, dance movement therapy, manicures and more. They also were able to shop in the Wellness market for items such as handmade soaps, oils, and art projects. Dinner was also catered by Network member, Propel Kitchens.
The event, designed for direct service providers working within the 24:1 community, offers them a chance to receive the same level of care and support they so often give to others. For many attendees, it serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of self-care—helping them recharge, refocus, and ultimately become even more effective in their service to the community.
“If I don’t take care of myself then I can’t take care of the youth and families that I work with on a daily basis,” Epworth Children & Family Services provider LeTrina Hopton said. “If I don’t take care of myself, then I can’t be the best person to take care of someone else and give them the help that they need.”
Participating vendors, included:
- Volunteers from event partner Innovative Technology Education Fund
- Manicures by Tints Polish
- Sound bath, laughter yoga, drum circle and a walking labyrinth with Self Care by Eileen Wolfington
- Dinner catered by Propel Kitchens
- Wellness Bar by inpower institute
- Candles and room sprays by J.R. Candle Company
- Dance Movement Therapy by MJ Imani of Body Language Heels
Throughout the event, several attendees expressed deep gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to pause and recharge. Sameta Lee of Beyond Housing shared that she felt truly valued, noting that “Community Impact Network and their partners appreciate the work we do by hosting an event that pours back into us.” Similarly, Courtney Hinton of PreventEd reflected on the rare chance to unwind, saying, “For me to get a break and just relax and let what little hair I have down is a great thing.”
In addition to offering direct service providers a much-needed day of self-care, the Network and ITEF hope that attendees take the self-care techniques and lessons learned into their ongoing wellness journeys. Michelle Mosley, CEO of Innovative Technology Fund, echoed that sentiment.
“This is one little day, but hopefully it can have a big impact or be the start of a wellness journey for the providers and teachers who give so much of themselves everyday.”
