On Saturday, April 11, Programs Achieving Quality (PAQ) hosted its annual Week of the Young Child festival, Small Hands, Big Senses, at St. Vincent Park in Normandy. The celebration culminated a week dedicated to honoring young children, their families and the educators who show up for them every single day, because the foundation built in those earliest years shapes everything that follows.

Programs Achieving Quality (PAQ), in partnership with the Community Impact Network (Network), connects early childcare providers with the training, resources and partnerships they need to deliver high-quality care within the 24:1 footprint. When providers are equipped and supported, children thrive and communities are stronger for it. Small Hands, Big Senses was a celebration of progress and proof that it is moving.

Over 250 attendees enjoyed a day of fun-filled activities that included a bubble bus, face painting, food trucks and resources from PAQ providers and Network members:

Brittany Micheaux, Community Liaison for Urban Sprouts, echoed the same sentiment. “The event was so special because it gave community partners, early educators, families, and children the chance to partake in an array of sensory explorations while gathering for a joyful day in the park full of food, fellowship, and fun.”
