Volunteers needed for Beyond the Backpack
There’s no better investment in our region’s future than supporting our youth. We at Beyond Housing and the Community Impact Network are seeking volunteers for our annual back-to-school event, Beyond the Backpack.
Beyond the Backpack is about so much more than providing school supplies; it’s about fostering a sense of community and ensuring every child has the opportunity and resources to thrive academically and beyond. This is a cornerstone event for us and a great way for volunteers to make a difference and log their service hours.
Last year, more than 1,800 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to students, more than 300 students received physicals and health screenings, and over 1,900 pairs of shoes were provided.
